Games and puzzles

Much of this section is not fully accessible, by its nature - most of the games are visual puzzles of some kind, and some require strong hand-eye motor co-ordination. All the visual games use javascript, and while some (such as Frogger) are playable with the keyboard, most of them require the use of a mouse.

However ... the text-based games are based on simple text, forms and server-side processing - they can be played with the mouse or keyboard (or equivalent pointing/actuating device), and they don't use any javascript. These games should be as accessible as the rest of the site, and to the best of my ability I've tried to make them so they're no more difficult to play in plain-text or speech than they are in rich HTML.

Finally, the PSP games are DHTML games designed specifically for the Sony PSP (although they also work in recent versions of Opera and Mozilla). These games can be played online, or downloaded as a collection and saved onto the memory-stick for offline play.

Browser compatibility

Some of the games only work in one or a limited number of browsers, and in each case the page will say which are supported. But the majority are referred to as supporting all modern graphical browsers, and this specifically means: Opera 7 or later (for Windows, Mac OSX and Linux); Mozilla browsers like Firefox or Camino (for Windows, Mac and Linux); Safari (for Mac OSX, including OmniWeb 4.5 or later); Internet Explorer 5 or later (for Windows and Mac, including MSN for Mac OSX).
